The January 1982 BYTE featured the new IBM PC on the cover; by October of that year the impact of this development was also announced on BYTE's cover: personal computers were beginning to seriously invade the world of business. "Computers and Business" was the official theme, and Tinney used the metaphor of Wall Street to convey the concept.
